Jack Bruce & Gary Moore - Interview with Robin Ross DJ 1994

BBM was Jack Bruce, Gary Moore and Ginger Baker, all three legends with an amazing musical heritage, this project was just an honest band… obvious mentions of Cream.

The understatement has to be that Jack says that 'Ginger and himself were just a rhythm section'… a project that just came together.. and plays on the road. Gary Moore admits that he has tidied up his playing for this project. There is an obvious mutual respect for each other and Ginger Baker. The music industry in UK can be so narrow.. if you look good and can dance they you are a band.. Jack is a realist and compares the US market with the UK and really just do what you do and get on with it, he feels sorry for young musicians who can play and write songs. What right have they to the blues? 'Everybody has a right to the blues, everyone feels it, if you can play it you can play it, can kids play the blues, bring what you are to the music'

'Music exists on its own terms, we all serve the music'

Jack 'BBM is like the old days, we do the gig the music happens, we just have a laugh'.

are there still the obvious influences of songs like 'White Room'.

Gary Moore brings a focus to Jack Bruce, they have both tried to write pop songs in their careers.

Gary Moore talks openly about Heroin and its singing to you, a very dark piece.
BBM was great project that may have passed you buy, go buy it you will enjoy the music, which really is what these guys were all about.
